MONTESSORI AUTISM PROGRAMS & SERVICES (MAPS) Lakehills is excited to be partnering with Montessori Autism Programs and Services to offer Integrated Play Group (IPG) Therapy on our campus beginning in the Fall of 2008. IPG is a form of social skills training for children with developmental delays. This Group Therapy incorporates play sessions with typically developing peers under the direction of a trained adult Play Guide. IPG provides children with a strong foundation of acceptance, inclusion, and appreciation for the gifts and challenges we all have! SEEKING EXPERT PLAYERS We are recruiting children ages 3-11 who love to play! These children will to join our play therapy groups as Expert Players. Groups will include four-six children and will meet two-three times per week for 90 minute sessions. The play sessions will be held between the hours of 1:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Lakehills' campus. Each session will include 60 minutes of facilitated play in a small group setting and 30 minutes of play in a more generalized setting. Our goal is to evolve the generalized program into an after-school program.
